Impeccable Words

To be impeccable with your word is to come from Truth and Love. Speak truth to yourself and others. Speak from a place of love when addressing yourself and others.

Don’t Let FEAR Stop You! Do It Anyway!

A few days ago I was listening to Bob Proctor’s Paradigm Shift seminar online, absorbing all of the good information he was sharing, but one thing he said stayed on my mind.  In so many words he said that we should move out on things that we want to do even if we’re afraid.  He went on to say that there are people in the hospital, right now, fighting for their lives wishing they had the opportunity to move out on the things they most desired but was paralyzed by fear.  Just yesterday I saw a FaceBook post regarding a cousin’s wife that was hospitalized and seeking prayers.  I took a moment to send her an affirmative prayer and some healing light.  I responded to the post, thanking the person for sharing the information only to get an additional post saying that she has stage 4 cancer.  Immediately my thoughts went back to Bob Proctor’s words and this time the impact was palpable.  I raise my hand and profess my guilt at allowing fear to slow me down, redirect me and sometimes just stop me.  We get so caught up in thinking time is on our side just because we’re healthy right now!  I’m grateful for my health but I’m also grateful for this reminder from the universe.  In the words of Michael Bernard Beckwith, fear is only False Evidence Appearing Real!

Never Run Back to What Broke You

Never Run Back to What Broke You

I ran across the words “Never run back to what broke you” a few days ago, and just like that song that keeps playing in your head that you heard on the radio, so to do these words keep resurfacing.

As I contemplate these reoccurring words, I instinctively know their meaning but then my ego jumps in, clouds my thoughts by creating false narratives and justifications as to why these words keep resurfacing.  I find myself going down the path of “I’m tired and that’s why I keep thinking of these words” or “they’re just words and have nothing to do with me.”  So many times I have returned to something that broke me and instead of walking away, I found myself seeking signs from the universe to justify my return, only to be broken again.  What I know for sure right now is that everything happens for a reason and these reoccurring words are a preamble from my higher state of consciousness.  How I choose to honor these words is totally up to me.  So as I’m washing clothes or driving my daughter to school and these words resurface, I choose listen to the words and I choose to feel the words. What I hear is don’t keep going back to a situation that’s full of empty promises.  What I feel is I deserve to be complete and whole, and I can’t be whole and broken at the same time.  When you reach this point it’s good to lean heavily on strength and courage.  This strength will push you when you’ve become to weak to move, and this courage will help you stay the course without looking back.  There comes a time when the sweetest thing you can do is love yourself.  When you truly understand this you will never return to what broke you ever again.

People Buy Into You, But You Have To Buy Into Yourself

The words in the title came directly from my youngest brother after publishing my first book on Amazon yesterday.  After clicking the Amazon “Publish” button I felt immediate elation followed by pure adrenaline to let others know about my book; followed by gratitude when family and friends shared my book with others; followed by “why would someone be interested in what I have to say”.

These words I shared with my brother, and he reminded me that I am unique and what I bring to the world is unique.  He talked about producing music and not knowing if others would like it, yet alone buy it.  But he did it anyway!  By the way he is a successful platinum producer.

I am unique and what I have to say matters to me . . .  and maybe, just maybe to someone else too!

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder… But Inner Beauty is Undeniable

A friend wanted my thoughts on why at 5:30 am after a grueling workout someone would call her beautiful.

Well my friend it is true that we all have our ideas of what physical beauty is to us, but when you accept yourself with all of your perceived flaws (in the eyes of the “True Beholder” we have no flaws) your inner beauty can’t help but shine through.

It takes courage and commitment to:

  • change the uncomplimentary dialogue placed in your head by others (i.e. family, friend, media) – THEIR OPINIONS OF YOU IS NONE OF YOUR SPIRITUAL BUSINESS
  • change any/all negative ways you speak about yourself to others (i.e. I’m just too ____ for that!) – WORDS DO HAVE POWER
  • change the way you think negatively about yourself (i.e. throughout the day and before you retire) – THOUGHTS DO BECOME THINGS

When you conquer the above, you can’t help but walk differently, talk differently, stand differently, smile differently and “LOOK” differently.

So when asked “Where does your Beauty lie?”  You can give the long in-depth answer, or you can simply say “I Woke Up Like This”.

A Reminder Text To My Child

When God created U, he knew exactly what he was doing.  He gave U strength when U felt U were weak; he gave U beauty in the face of ugly situations; and he gave U wisdom in the midst of foolishness. Oh how special U are!

It takes Courage to “Walk by Faith and not by Sight”

This earth journey presents so many opportunities, however many of us see these opportunities as challenges and obstacles.  We tend to focus on what it will take to make things happen, instead of focusing on the “THING” itself.

The reason we focus on the steps and not the “THING” is due to conditional thinking.  We’ve been conditioned to think that anything worth having takes planning and sacrifice.  We get so caught up in planning and sacrificing that we lose sight of the prize.

For example, take someone who is working two jobs and eating bologna sandwiches just to buy or do something special.  Eventually they become exhausted and under-nourished which results in them either seeking something less desirable but within their reach, or giving-up altogether.

When you decide to walk by Faith, irregardless of what you see in front of you, courage becomes second nature.

Give Me The Courage To Create The Energy I Need To Thrive

Today as I walked on the treadmill a vision as clear as day popped into my head. I saw myself floating on an inner tube in the ocean. The water was choppy and dark and it took all the energy and courage I had just to stay afloat. I didn’t see any way out but at the same time I would not give-in to my demise. Somewhere deep inside I held onto hope, the hope that I would survive this ordeal. At some point I saw a well lit boat in the distance. I prayed for strength to move towards the boat and it seemed like eternity before I reached the boat. Once there I saw a rope being tossed down to me and all of a sudden I felt exhausted. I told myself that I had used up all my energy just to get there, but I knew that I was absolutely afraid of what was on the boat’s deck, the unknown. You see I was familiar with my struggle just to survive in the ocean, but now I’m presented with something new and unfamiliar. I looked back at the ocean which was dark, deep and vast and my heart shuttered. I then looked up at the boat and my curiosity grew. I reached within and mustered up courage to energize my body to climb the rope and once I reached the deck I knew instantly I was where I was supposed to be.

Don’t Wait To Do You!

I just read a tweet by Russell Simmons that said “Don’t Wait To Do You”. I understand this so well because each and every day I consciously release the negative self-talk that says “stop wasting your time … this will never work” and I deliberately write my words, speak my truth, paint my pictures and sing my songs. And I will do this as long as it takes to quiet/SHUTDOWN my EGO and freely be Me!
